Q: Was Zahra a name that you yourself chose? 


A: Actually we had some friends, Muslim friends from Saudi Arabia. They gave the suggestion to me and my sister and since my mother had chosen Fatemeh, they kept telling me to change my name." I kept telling them when I was ready and that I had to study more. 

I wanted to choose a name that suited my character. So one day, it was actually for the birthday of Hazrat Fatemeh (AS), and we had a celebration for the birthday of Hazrat Zahra (AS) and they told us, "OK, I think Zahra is good for you and Zeinab is good for your sister. So we thought and said OK we like that.
